My name is Ben Tackett, born and raised in Erath County. As of 2017, I’m 19 years old and a Junior at Tarleton State University (TSU), located in Stephenville, TX. My high school alma-mater is Stephenville High School, having graduated there in 2016, with honors and in the top 7% of my class. I was an all-district left guard playing football all 4 years. My hobbies include hunting, fishing, and watching sports. I enjoy hunting dove, deer and varmints, but my favorite type of hunting is hogs. One of my passions is deep sea fishing, but I like to fish for bass and catfish on many area ponds and lakes. As for sports, it would have to be watching baseball and football. I really like going to see the Texas Rangers play. If you ask me about music, well that would have to be Texas country genre. I served on the Bluff Dale Volunteer Fire Department from 2014-2015. My degree of study is Business Management which compliments my pursuit in real estate. I plan on developing a career in real estate upon graduation. I aspire to have my broker’s license within the next 4 years. I became a Texas Licensed Real Estate at the age of 18 (minimum age). One requirements of the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) is being an agent 4 years prior to being able to obtain your broker’s license, this fits in with my timing of graduating from TSU. Working together with my mom, helps me gain great experience and knowledge of the legalities, paper work, customer service and many other aspects of real estate transactions. It is preparing me for a successful future when I graduate. After obtaining my broker’s license, I want to start my own real estate brokerage company, sponsoring several agents. Becoming involved in commercial real estate, if possible, once I learn the ins-and-outs of residential real estate, is of great interest to me. Another one of my immediate goals will be obtaining investment properties, once I develop enough capital to do so through real estate.
